Community.  It’s one of those words that, if you’re not careful, can be overused to the point of being desensitized to it. At Bank of Ann Arbor, we don’t say it, we practice it. Our culture is one of caring and creativity for employee communities as well as customer and friend communities. We foster these relationships internally with groups like E.A.T. – Employee Activity Team and our many group health outings like rock climbing and canoeing. But, we also create community in areas where we live and play.  It can come in the form of volunteering to work in a community garden, fund-raise for a local shelter or walk to raise money for JDRF.

Bank of Ann Arbor is committed to healthy communities that, in addition to winning multiple “best place to work” accolades, allow us to connect with people in South Eastern Michigan in a very exciting way. We are the presenting sponsor for AFC Ann Arbor, a semi-pro soccer team in the National Premier Soccer League. We sponsor youth soccer camps, are featured prominently on all jerseys, and give back by hosting over 250 guests from local nonprofits who might not otherwise be able to go to a match.

While we are known for supporting over 200 non-profits each year, one of our largest community events is Sonic Lunch.  Entering year 9, Sonic Lunch is bigger and better than ever evidenced by our 12 acts opening with Wild Belle and closing with Serena Ryder. Ann Arbor will, once again this summer, be the best place to enjoy lunch and terrific music on Thursday afternoons with friends, family, and neighbors.

Our support of the local arts and culture in the greater Ann Arbor region has always been an important part of our value system at the bank. Bank of Ann Arbor’s Sonic Lunch concert series helps to create a vibrancy that makes our town a better.

Laith Al-Saadi, one of the final four on NBC’s “The Voice” is not only a finalist on the show but has been a featured – treasured – act at all nine Sonic Lunch seasons. We know that Ann Arbor will be buzzing on June 9th for his homecoming concert. We have also hosted “the Voice” finalists Michelle Chamuel and Joshua Davis. Davis is also on our 2016 lineup.

ZZ Ward, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Jr. Jr., Børns, Mayer Hawthorne, and Vance Joy have all performed at Sonic Lunch. Bank of Ann Arbor is thrilled to have offered these incredible line-ups as a gift to our community and can’t wait to see what future acts will be!

We warmly welcome all.
